‘Outstanding Employee of the Year’ Honors Award nominees!

[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”2901″]

In addition to the club and entertainer awards that we typically present during the ED Awards Show at EXPO (voted on by the industry), we’ve introduced several ED “Honors” Awards that will acknowledge specific individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry at large. The nominees for the “Outstanding Employee of the Year” Award were gathered in large part from the pre-nomination voting process at theEDawards.com; the winners of these awards will be decided by the ED Honors Board.  The nominees are presented here in alphabetical order.

Outstanding Employee of the Year Award

While general managers are often the engines that make the club move, the employees themselves are the ever-important cogs in that engine. This award seeks to honor an employee who has gone above and beyond the limitations of their title. As the nominees in this category will prove, anyone can make a difference in a club’s success, no matter what duties they perform. Be it a server, bartender, hostess, security staff or DJ, the Outstanding Employee of the Year just might be your club’s MVP.

Myra Abbot, Manager of Dames ‘n Games, LA

Testimonial: Myra is a standout force in the industry, driving progress as GM of Dames & Games LA—one of the top hybrid sports bar/gentlemen’s club venues in the country. A visionary leader in a traditionally male-dominated space, Myra brings bold, forward-thinking innovation to every aspect of her role. From pioneering successful event concepts to streamlining operations, she exemplifies what it means to be a modern, progressive leader in today’s entertainment landscape.

Alex Barrera, Director of Entertainers, Las Toxicas, Las Vegas

Testimonial: While general managers are often the engines that keep a club moving, it’s the employees those on the ground, in the booth, and on the floor who make the difference between running and thriving. Alex is the Director of Entertainers at Las Toxicas, which opened its doors on November 15, 2024. Since day one, Alex has been more than just a manager he’s been the heartbeat of the club. From the moment the doors opened, his presence, leadership and relentless work ethic have helped shape Las Toxicas.
After a decade of experience managing top clubs across Dallas and Fort Worth, Alex made the leap to Las Vegas, stepping into the unknown with nothing but the support of the team that hired him. Goals were sustained thanks to Alex’s relentless drive, strategic recruiting, and most importantly, the way he treats every entertainer as essential to the club’s culture and success. Under his direction, over 400 entertainers walk through the doors every week, not just because they make money, but because they feel respected, valued, and cared for.

Cameron Feimster, DJ/Entertainer Manager, Lust Gentlemen’s Club, Greenville, SC

Testimonial: For over 20 years, Cameron Feimster has been a key member of the team at Lust Gentlemen’s Club in Greenville, SC. Serving as both club DJ and talent manager, he has actively shaped the club’s its identity, culture and continued success. His longevity alone speaks volumes, but it’s his unwavering dedication, creative leadership and deep understanding of club dynamics that truly set him apart. In addition to on-boarding new entertainers, he also oversees a consistent rotation of 20 to 40 entertainers each night.  Cameron’s thoughtful approach to promotions, themed events and customer service has helped Lust build a loyal, diverse clientele and thrive in a competitive market. His ability to balance club operations, talent management and crowd energy every night shows a level of professionalism and adaptability worthy of recognition.

Luke Gawenski (aka DJ Lukester), head DJ at Thee Dollhouse, Myrtle Beach, SC

Testimonial: Luke has been in the adult industry as a DJ and MC since the late 1980s with MJ Peter & Associates in multiple locations, as well as working for other top chains across the industry. He finally landed at Thee DollHouse in Myrtle Beach in the early 2000s and has been here ever since. Luke is a huge asset and major reason that our club is not just a strip club, but is still one of the top showclubs in the business. He is always up to date on music and has an amazing ability to read the room and keep the guests engaged. He works great with management, back of house and entertainers to bring amazing shows to the stages nightly.  We can count on him to host awards for large events like Miss Exotic as well as the weekly amateur contest with the same professionalism and energy.  He definitely is an employee that gives more than 100%.

Alex Tierney, Manager, Diamonds & Lace, Chattanooga, TN

Testimonial: In every aspect of her work, Alex exemplifies dedication, leadership, and heart. As a bilingual team member, Alex never misses an opportunity to uplift those around her. She actively trains her coworkers in key phrases to help them better communicate with a diverse range of guests, ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels welcome and understood. Her commitment to inclusivity isn’t just thoughtful—it’s transformative for our team dynamic and our guest experience.

Alex also forms deep, authentic connections with the entertainers she works with. Her unique combination of “girl power” energy and nurturing support builds trust, boosts morale, and helps performers stay motivated and confident. She sees the women she works with not just as colleagues but as people, and that connection is felt every day.
With customers, Alex goes above and beyond. She learns their stories, remembers their names, and consistently personalizes their experience in a way that keeps them coming back. Alex Tierney doesn’t just do her job—she elevates everyone around her while doing it. She leads with warmth, intelligence, and unmatched emotional intelligence, and our workplace is better because of her.

Sheyenne Valenzuela, Bartender, Rick’s Cabaret, North Austin, TX

Testimonial: Sheyenne makes everyone feel welcomed, seen, and like they’re the most important person in the room. She just has a way to make you feel better on bad days and invincible on your good days. She keeps you engaged and is excellent at introducing you to other guests and creating new, life-long friendships. She’s everything you think of when you think of an ideal bartender. Plus, she can come up with a cocktail just for you by only asking a few questions. She also effectively uses various social media platforms to promote Rick s Cabaret in North Austin and keeps patrons informed of specials and events. Sheyenne is very professional and does a great job running the bar. She is an asset and great compliment to the establishment.
